PONY Magazine, the UK's no 1 horsy teen mag, was named Magazine of the Year 2007 at the prestigious PPA IPAC awards ceremony in London. The Grayshott based publication beat off strong competition from well-known consumer and business-to-business titles, and was complimented on its ability to adapt to the challenging publishing environment with courage, innovation and skill.
This recognition follows a record-breaking year for PONY magazine, when the publication saw its biggest-ever selling issue in its distinguished 57-year history. Not only did the title perform well on the newsstand, but in every area of commercial operation, out performing the equestrian magazine market sector. PONY Magazine's outstanding performance in 2006 has been instrumental in helping publishers DJ Murphy gain nearly 50% share of the equestrian monthly magazine market.
The IPAC judges said that PONY Magazine was, "Extremely well executed in terms of style and design. A thoroughly professional magazine that continues to do its job well." This latest award for PONY Magazine follows awards for its subscription and brand development success in 2006, and emphasises the company's strong commitment to the future success of all its magazines and the equestrian market.

DJ Murphy Publishers Ltd moved to Haslemere around 10 years ago and hasn't looked back. In 2002, the company expanded and moved offices to near-by Grayshott before being bought by Signature Publishing in 2006. Building on the current magazines' successes, more expansion is planned for the coming year launching exciting new titles, and creating new opportunities within the local area.
