Some of Grayshott?s girl cricketers had a bonus recently when after playing at the Rose Bowl they met up with Shane Warne.

The girls were playing in a tournament at the Rosebowl where Grayshott's Rachel Hyndman, Izzy Woods and Tegan Louw performed very well, making up half of the SE Hants district side who lost narrowly in a thrilling final to Winchester, who they had already beaten in the first round.

The team gelled really well together after their winter coaching together, with Grayshott?s Tegan Louw performing very maturely as captain. The final could have gone either way but once Izzy Woods was unluckily caught off the netting and Tegan was run out from some sharp fielding, it was always going to be a struggle to surpass Winchester's total of 56.

Grayshott Cricket Club is keen to attract new girl members, including beginners. Practice night is Tuesday night at the Sportsfield in Grayshott starting at 6.30pm.
