| Grayshott has recently been awarded the title of "Best Village in East Hampshire" in 2007 and has previously been awarded the title of "Best Village in Hampshire" in 2002 and also in 2005 when Grayshott was also chosen to host the award ceremony Following the Hampshire awards Grayshott was entered into the national village awards and additionally presented with the prestigious award for "Best Village for Business in the Community in England & Wales" by HRH Princess Anne at a London ceremony in 2002 and then in 2005 for "Best Village for Business in the Community in South England" by no lesser celebrity than Alan Titmarsh. |

This rural village has a thriving business community which is split between many shops, services and organisations. | There is a lively social scene in Grayshott with the Fox & Pelican pub at the centre and the Social Club and Royal British Legion all offering a place to relax and enjoy a drink with friends and family. A good choice of excellent restaurants offers chinese, indian, nepalese and turkish cuisine and there is an excellent family menu at the Fox & Pelican which has a large beer garden with a childrens play area. |

St. Luke's Church is set in the heart of the village and has been the venu chosen for the classical "Grayshott Concerts" although their recently staged open air opera "Barber of Seville" was a stones throw away at Grayshott Primary School. |
| Also in the village centre are two village greens, a sportsground and two allotments under the care of Grayshott Parish Council. Lyndon Green with childrens playground, and the larger Village Green, bearing the millennium sculpture, both play host to the fabulous annual "Village Jamboree" organised by the Party in Grayshott (PIG) team. The sportsground with pavilion known locally as "The Rec" is home to the Grayshott Cricket and Football clubs, a second childrens playground, skatepark and is the exciting scene of the annual bonfire and fireworks night also organised by PIG - Pyrotechnics in Grayshott. |

| More first rate sporting facilities are to be found at the nearby Herons and Edge leisure centres, with the successful Haslemere rugby and hockey clubs and at Grayshott Spa and there are numerous golf courses in the area whilst there is a golf driving range and two golf societies GGS and GOGGS in the village itself. |

| Educationally, children are well catered for in the area with Grayshott based Little Sunflowers and PK Pre-schools, Grayshott Primary School and private schools Amesbury, St. Edmunds, The Royal School just around the corner, and Bohunt Community School and Woolmer Hill School within easy reach. |
| The 1st Grayshott Scouts celebrated their centenary last year and also offer cubs, brownies and beavers to the village youngsters and a youth group are all based at the Scout "Jubillee Hut" Also celebrating 100 years in Grayshott last year with their open day are Grayshott Fire & Rescue who have just published a commemorative book. |

There are far too many clubs and organisations to mention them individually but the Grayshott Gardeners which hold the bi-annual Hidden Gardens event, Movies in Grayshott who show films at the Village Hall which is also home to The Grayshott Stagers who recently performed "Carousel" , the Flower Club and Arthritis Care are just a few examples of the vibrant and interesting pastimes and creative and caring opportunities on offer, for young and old, in the wonderful village of Grayshott. |
