International pianist and conductor Howard Shelley pays a return visit to play and |
| direct a concert which includes Beethoven's fabulous Piano Concerto No.5 |
| He will direct the famous London Mozart Players in a stunning programme, |
| including not just one, but two symphonies. |
| The performance will open with Prokofiev’s Symphony No.1 (The Classical) - a |
| real gem, followed by the Beethoven Concerto. In the second half, Howard will |
| conduct Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.4 (The Italian) |
| This work is one of Mendelssohn’s most popular compositions and is an ideal |
| piece with which to complete our September event. |
