Friday Night - kicking off the jazzfest will be Binkys' Dixie Demons with special |
| guest sax-star Big John Lee back by popular request. |
| This promises to be the highlight of the weekend with Big John teaming up with |
| Denny Ilet, one of Britains greatest |
| trumpet players, on the front line. Don't miss a swinging night. |
| Saturday Night - Closing the festival will be Bills all-star sextet featuring |
| George.N.Paterson on trumpet. George has played with them all. Including the |
| Ken Mackintosh, Ray McVay etc as well as being musical director to Joe Brown, |
| Englebert Humperdink and Solomon King. A talented arranger George spends |
| most of his time playing world cruises on the QE2 with the Ray Terry Band. |
| Mick 'the sticks' Gibbings will be on percussion a swinging drummer and a good |
| timekeeper. Mick plays most of his gigs these days with the legendary |
| Otis.B.Driftwood Band. Completing the guests is the aptly named Bob Alco on |
| Trombone. A great tailgate |
| trombone player Bob is resident with the Barry Tyler Band. |
| Two great bands in prospect to accompany the range of fine beers on tap from |
| Altons Triple F brewery, 2008 beer of the year 'Alton Pride', 'Moondance', 'Pressed |
| Rat & Warthog', 'Stairway', |
| with ciders from 'Mr Whitehead' Cirrus Minor & Boxing Dog as well as a fully |
| stocked bar. Non members are especially welcome, and it would be an |
| opportunity to experience the excellent facilities the club has to offer. |
| The Social Club is situated 100 yards in Hill Road on the left at crossroads by the |
| church - easy walking from the village and car parking available. |
