4.Matters Arising
4.1Planning Policy. The assistant clerk showed councillors the responses which had been received to date. There were in excess of twenty letters of support and she was still awaiting letters from three councils who were not meeting until the end of the month. Given that support had been so forthcoming and that the press were now wishing to write an article, the assistant clerk suggested that it might now be time to officially approach EHDC with Grayshotts request for a change in planning policy. Councillors agreed that the letter should be sent in its current form with the addition of a list of the parishes that have offered support and would be signed by Mr. Slaughter. The letter would be sent simultaneously to Daryl Phillips, Patrick Burridge, Chris Murray, Cllr Ferris Cowper, Cllr Sam James, Rt. Hon James Arbuthnot MP, Rt. Hon MichaelMates MP and HALC. The assistant clerk would also send a copy to the Herald newspaper. The letter would also be circulated to all Grayshott councillors.

7.Village Planning Matters
Mrs. Myers had noticed a tall fence which had been erected on a property along Headley Roadopposite the car showrooms. It looked a rather temporary structure; more of a bamboo screen than a fence but she wondered if it required planning consent. The assistant clerk said she was unsure and would take photograph of it and send to Bill Young at EHDC to ask.
The assistant clerk reported that the issues raised with regard to the Police House last month had been reported to Bill Young at EHDC. He replied that the additional window and wall were deemed minor alterations to the original permission notice so no breach of planning had been committed. Mr Murphy wished to point out that he believed the new wall would hinder the sight lines for the children crossing the road from the playgroup. Councillors felt that the new wall would not alter the site lines unduly and that as there was no planning breach little could be done.
