| Description |
The programme consists of two delightful Christmas works, composed and |
| conducted by our Patron, Karl Jenkins, which was premiered at the end of |
| November last year, when Karl took a reduced version on tour. |
| But Grayshott Concerts will be the first organisation in the world to perform this |
| wonderful music, live, and in full. |
| “Stella Natalis” is a collection of completely new pieces, and “Joy to the World” is |
| a collection of well known Christmas music from around the world, orchestrated |
| by Karl in his own distinctive style. |
| We have an amazing line up of musicians. The choir “Tenebrae”, directed by |
| Nigel Short, and orchestra “Marylebone Camerata” both feature on the original |
| CD, as do the exciting ethnic singers from “Adiemus”. |
| Stunning South African soprano soloist, Erica Eloff, trumpet soloist, Christopher |
| Deacon, and two choristers from our own St Edmund’s School Chapel Choir |
| Karl will conduct “Stella Natalis” and Nigel Short, “Joy to the World”. All thanks to |
| Karl for the huge support and encouragement he has given us in putting this |
| concert together. It will indeed be a night to remember. |
