Event Name Karl Jenkins "Stella Natalis"
Organisation Grayshott Concerts
Venue St. Luke's Church
Description The programme consists of two delightful Christmas works, composed and

conducted by our Patron, Karl Jenkins, which was premiered at the end of

November last year, when Karl took a reduced version on tour.

But Grayshott Concerts will be the first organisation in the world to perform this

wonderful music, live, and in full.

“Stella Natalis” is a collection of completely new pieces, and “Joy to the World” is

a collection of well known Christmas music from around the world, orchestrated

by Karl in his own distinctive style.

We have an amazing line up of musicians. The choir “Tenebrae”, directed by

Nigel Short, and orchestra “Marylebone Camerata” both feature on the original

CD, as do the exciting ethnic singers from “Adiemus”.

Stunning South African soprano soloist, Erica Eloff, trumpet soloist, Christopher

Deacon, and two choristers from our own St Edmund’s School Chapel Choir

complete the line-up.

Karl will conduct “Stella Natalis” and Nigel Short, “Joy to the World”. All thanks to

Karl for the huge support and encouragement he has given us in putting this

concert together. It will indeed be a night to remember.
