Grayshott Village Hall, officially known as the Grayshott & Hindhead Institute and Village Hall, was

built on land donated by Mrs Plymton Smith, who lived at Hurstmere, in memory of her brother, Dr

Richard Plymton. Further funds for the building,

designed by Messrs Reich & Macdonald and built by Messrs Chapman, Lowry and Puttick, were

raised by gifts and public donations. The Village Hall is one of the largest in the area and is

financed by grants from the Parish Council and other bodies,

as well as the fees received from lettings. Regular and long term users of the hall include the

Grayshott Stagers, Grayshott Horticultural Society, Grayshott Flower Club, Grayshott Bowls Club,

and Arthritis Care.
