| Description |
The committee exists to administer the sportsfield and tennis courts and to promote organised sport |
| and in so doing to further the well being of user clubs and protect the interestd of the village and its |
| population for the future. |
| The current major users are the Cricket, Tennis and Youth Football clubs and in the past rugby and |
| hockey have been accommodated. A youth club also uses the facilities on a weekly basis and in |
| the near future the erection of the skateboard park will be |
| commenced. The sportsfield also provides a pleasant space for villagers to exercise their dogs and |
| to enjoy one off events throughout the year such as bonfire night and the village picnic. |
| The committee is comprised of user club representatives and Parish Councillors and has proved a |
| success in many directions |
