Every Thursday there is a convivial gathering of men & women of mature years in St Luke’s |
| They have tea/coffee on arrival around 10.15 a.m. and then enjoy table games until a hot freshly- |
| prepared two course lunch is served. |
| There are then other activities before transport arrives about 2.15 p.m. to take them home |
| This important village club is run entirely by volunteers.. The value to the members is without |
| doubt and all the helpers agree that to see how well their efforts are received is indeed a |
| We are looking for more volunteers to assist us for a couple of hours once a month (10.00 - 12 |
| noon or 12.00 noon - 2.30) |
| We are also in need of help with the cooking as our volunteer cook of some years is currently |
| unable to be with us as much as previously. |
| Never has the old adage been truer that "many hands make light work". |
| Please come and see for yourself – helping our senior citizens is a pleasure not a chore! |
