Grayshott Day Centre for the elderly is entirely independent, has been running for nearly 20 years
and is completely staffed by volunteers. Every Thursday our members are collected
by Ambulance from Grayshott and the surrounding villages, brought to St. Luke's Church Room for a
social day out. We have quizzes, bingo, exercises, games, sing-songs and conversation. Every
week there is a small raffle.
Tea and coffee are served plus a freshly-cool<ed two-course lunch. Birthdays are celebrated by a
glass of sherry and a small present. Every year there is an Outing, a Christmas party and
Christmas lunch. There is also a garden party for the helpers.
We have outside visits from Breakthrough. (hearing aid maintenance and advice), Mick Bateman's
singing group and Grayshott School. Our aim is to give. our members a happy day out and their
Carers a break from their usual routine.
