Grayshott Concerts presents Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" @ St Luke's Church - wed 25th dec
18th nov - Scrooge is a 'Dickens' of an attraction in Grayshott - When community classical music promoters 'Grayshott Concerts' decided to stage Charles Dickens', "A Christmas Carol" at St Luke's Church at 7.00pm on Wednesday 25th November, little did they know how popular it would prove. Tickets for Britain's best known ghost story, featuring Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come, have been eagerly snapped up for weeks and now only a few remain. "We're really glad we took a gamble on this amazing production," said organiser, Peter Harrison. "It's a heady mix of eccentric masks, wild puppets and an atmospheric set - with live music and songs making this fabulous story a great start to the Christmas festivities." more...

Grayshott Boundary Walk - sun 27th oct
7th oct - Boundary Walkers Make it Home Much Refreshed - Gordon Sanderson reports "The Boundary Walk was blessed with great weather and 150 walkers completed the circuit. As Dick Smith was away we had no significant lost walkers. Signs were in fact better and were often complimented. The route was also slightly shorter and easier but one walker who I brought back from Whitmore Vale by car would have given a small fortune to the Scouts for the taxi service. In other words it may have been shorter and easier in parts but it still had some tough bits. more...

Grayshott Gardenerss Summer Show @ The Village Hall - sat 11th jul
20th jul - Grayshott Gardeners Summer Show 2009 - The Grayshott Gardeners' Summer Show took place on Saturday 11 July in the Village Hall. The rain which fell steadily throughout the day (but regrettably not in Cardiff) would have been appreciated by the exhibitors if it had fallen in May and June when the rainfall was only just over half the long term average for the area. Soaring temperatures added to plant and gardener stress in the first week of July. Any casual visitor to the show, perhaps unfamiliar with the area, should bear in mind that the so called soil that most of the GG's (as they are affectionately known) are blessed or perhaps more accurately cursed with, consists of sand overlying rock. more...
