26 may 2010 - It's new, it's different, it's Grayshott's first ever 'Shakesperience' and it's coming to Applegarth on 7th July - Grayshott Concerts are teaming up with Applegarth Farm in July to present the first ever open air performance in Grayshott of Shakespeare's comedy 'Love's Labour's Lost'. The 'Shakesperience' starts with an al-fresco barbecue supper, meticulously prepared and served by the Applegarth Restaurant team under TV celebrity, Guy Wolley, at 5.30pm on Wednesday 7th July. Guests will be able to enjoy their supper sitting under the trees while thrilling to the excitement of a professional Polo Match. 21 may 2010 - Second Success for Soloist in Grayshott - Organisers of Grayshott's 'Martin Plays Mendelssohn' heaved a huge sigh of relief on Saturday night, 15th May, when their largest-ever orchestral event went without a hitch and to resounding applause from the 300-strong audience at St Luke's Church. The orchestra of 44 musicians forming the New London Sinfonia under conductor David Gibson was the largest ever to be assembled in Grayshott specially to perform the majestic Brahms Symphony No.1. But the star attraction for many concert-goers was the ever-popular Mendelssohn Violin Concerto performed by local hero Martin Smith. Martin's virtuoso performance was enjoyed by many of his family together with friends who grew up with him in Headley. Within seconds of the final chords, he was presented with a bottle of champagne by 10-year-old Shoshanah Sievers, who has just made local history by winning a place at London's Royal College of Music. more...

26 feb 2010 - Grayshott Concerts' Patron to attend Messiah - With only a few weeks to go and almost all tickets sold, Grayshott Concerts organisers were 'over the moon' to hear that their Patron, Karl Jenkins with his wife Carol are planning to attend Messiah at St Luke's Church on Saturday 20th March. "This is wonderful news", said Concerts' founder, Vivien Harrison. "Karl is busy on so many projects - we're so delighted he's making time to come to Grayshott again." 5 feb 2010 - Grayshott Concerts AGM and Review hits the top notes - It was standing room only at Grayshott's newly refurbished Fox & Pelican for Grayshott Concerts AGM and Review of 2008/09 on Wednesday 27th January. Almost 50 'Friends of Grayshott Concerts', the members of the village's successful classical music community group, gathered to approve their Accounts which brought almost £57,000 into the village last year. Treasurer, Vivien Harrison, showed how £35,700 had been spent on "world-class classical performances" financed by ticket sales of £24,800, supported by £12,400 in grants and business sponsorship including £2,350 donated by 'Friends' more...

And the biggest and best opportunity for miles around is Grayshott's traditional open-air carol singalong at 7pm on Christmas Eve in Grayshott Square. Last year, the event attracted almost a thousand people, dwarfing events in Haslemere and other towns and villages throughout the district. Tickets for Britain's best known ghost story, featuring Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come, have been eagerly snapped up for weeks and now only a few remain. 22 sep 2009 - Dream Comes True in Grayshott - After years of planning, a dream came true for a Grayshott woman when Beethoven's Symphony No.3 (Eroica) was performed in St Luke's Church last Saturday. The occasion was Grayshott Concerts "Eroica" event, in association with Buy In Grayshott (BIG), performed by the New London Sinfonia under conductor David Gibson for an audience of over 300. Concerts' artistic director, Vivien Harrison, was overjoyed. 31 jul 2009 - Grayshott all set for 'Eroica' its biggest orchestral event ever - With six weeks still to go, Grayshott Concerts reports that everything is on course for their biggest ever orchestral event - thanks to their new staging. Chairman Anthony Ramsden explains: "Now that we have such a big stage, we can present major works which just weren't possible at St Luke's before. Beethoven's Symphonies need an orchestra of almost 40 musicians and now we'll be able to put on one of his best known and most epic works - Symphony No.3 (Eroica)." 24 jul 2009 - Karl Jenkins new Patron of Grayshott Concerts - Grayshott Concerts have just announced that Dr Karl Jenkins has kindly agreed to become their Patron. Artistic Director Vivien Harrison said "This is a huge honour for us all and for the village of Grayshott. Karl is considered to be the most successful contemporary composer of classical music and in 2004 entered Classic FM's 'Hall of Fame' at no 8, the highest position for a living composer. We are thrilled to have brought two of his most epic works - 'The Armed Man' and 'Stabat Mater' - to St Luke's Church. 16 jan 2009 - Famous composer to visit Grayshott - It's been an open secret in Grayshott for weeks, but now it's official! One of the worlds most famous and successful composers of classical music is to visit Grayshott in March at the invitation of Grayshott Concerts.
The occasion is a concert by Grayshott's Excelsis Choir accompanied by the Grayshott Festival Orchestra conducted by Robert Lewis and features a major work by the composer, premiered in March 2008 in Liverpool Cathedral followed by a tour of major UK venues, with the composer conducting.
